Year 13 is a course that gives students an opportunity to gain a head start towards study at tertiary level.
Of the 18 credits offered:
- 5 Level 3 credits are gained by the standard US 19745
covering basic knowledge of signals and transmission of information
- 5 Level 3 credits are gained by the standard US 19746
covering electronic product knowledge and reliability
- 5 Level 3 credits are gained by the standard US 19747
covering basic micro – controllers.
- 3 Level 3 credits are gained by the standard US 9221
covering the development of a new electrical or electronic product.
Once achieved, students will have the opportunity to enter the course of the National Certificate in Electro Technology Level 3, an Electronics Apprenticeship or Tertiary Education.
