Year 12 is the second half of the two year Level Two course and the beginning of the Level Three course.

All Unit Standards offered are internally assessed. Of the 19 credits offered:

• 5 Level 2 credits are gained by the standard US 18239 covering basic electric circuit concepts
• 5 Level 2 credits are gained by the standard US 18241 covering basic electronic systems
• 4 Level 3 credits are gained by the standard US 19743 covering basic semiconductor devices
• 5 Level 3 credits can be gained by the standard US 19744 covering basic digital and analogue concepts.

Once achieved, students will have completed Level 2 National Certificate in Electro - Technology qualification, and will have begun working towards their Level 3 credits.
