Year 10 is an option course which lasts for a complete year and adds to the knowledge gained in Year 9, with a greater emphasis on the specific uses of each component. It covers:
- electricity, current, voltage and Ohm’s Law
- electrons and energy
- problem solving
- using a multimeter
- input, processing, output functions
- identifying markings on components
- measuring resistance
- conductors and semi – conductors
- component overlay diagrams
- circuit diagrams
- making permanent circuits using etching techniques and veroboard.
