School Prospectus - Achievement

Looking for AchievementAt Hamilton's Fraser High School, achievement is defined as 'success and participation in all that we, as a school, believe is important in the growth and development of young people to function as successful individuals in the 21 st Century'. As a school we value and celebrate achievement in academic studies, sport, the visual and performing arts, and cultural activities.

Achievement in SportThe school works with students and their parents to enhance the strengths and interests of each student, while simultaneously broadening and enriching their skills and knowledge in a wide range of curricular and cocurricular activities. Leadership and service to our community and our school are valued and encouraged. When students leave Hamilton's Fraser High School for the adult world it is our goal that they leave with a wide range of valued attributes that will make them leaders of tomorrow.

Achievement in ScienceWe believe very strongly that academic achievement starts the day students begin at Fraser in Year 9. To that end, we have introduced the concept of a Junior School Passport. We believe that Year 9 and 10 students must graduate to the next year level by fulfilling specific competency criteria. Students must attend school regularly, must work to the best of their ability, and they must be prepared to work each day At the end of each year, Year 9 and 10 students have a Graduation Event to celebrate their achievement and rite of passage to the next Year level.
